Agios Ioannis Beach

Agios Ioannis is a small tourist village in the southwest of the island, 2.5 km from Ornos. It is built amphitheatrically and located across from Delos, combining natural beauty with excellent tourist accommodations. Pink and purple flowers drape the stairways and balconies of the white houses. The lovely sandy beach of Agios Ioannis with the crystal clean waters took its name from the church that is located here.

Kalafati Beach

Popular with families with children and with those who enjoy water sports (especially windsurfing), this beach is on the eastern side of the island. As it’s away from the more touristy beaches, it remains less developed, but it has a few hotels and restaurants. There are some rocks by the water’s edge, but once past them, it’s great for swimming.

Monastery Of Panagia Tourliani

The architecture of the monastery is rather impressive, with a whitewashed exterior and a colored dome. A beautiful marble fountain is found in the yard outside the church. In the interior of the church, we can see an impressive wooden iconostasis (altar screen) made in 1775 by Florentine artists.

Chora (Mykonos Town)

On this visit to Mykonos we found Chora almost unrecognizable, as its characteristic narrow streets were without the usual hustle and bustle of tourists that almost doesn't let us go forward. However, it allowed us to more calmly enjoy every detail of this beautiful city!
