Place des Martyrs
The Place des Martyrs , a garden square, lies to the south of the Pétrusse valley, in the quarter of Gare. The square was laid out in the 1920s, after the German occupation of the First World War. Through the square run three radial paths, meeting at a point in front of the Arcelor headquarters, where a work by the British sculptor Henry Moore, depicting a mother and child, provides a focus.

Located in the lower fortified part of town it follows the Pétrusse river, which joins the Alzette (Uelzecht).

At the Travertine source situated in the valley of the Ernz Noire crystal-clear calcareous water flows over a rock formation into a basin.
