Place des Martyrs

The Place des Martyrs , a garden square, lies to the south of the Pétrusse valley, in the quarter of Gare. The square was laid out in the 1920s, after the German occupation of the First World War. Through the square run three radial paths, meeting at a point in front of the Arcelor headquarters, where a work by the British sculptor Henry Moore, depicting a mother and child, provides a focus.

Pont Adolphe

The bridge was designed by Paul Séjourné, a Frenchman, and Albert Rodange, a Luxembourger, and was built between 1900 and 1903.

Nested in the fortified lower town of Luxembourg , just a stone’s throw from the center, the Grund district is known for its cultural and architectural heritage. The Grund has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994. Quiet and central, this district is, together with the Clausen district and the Pfaffenthal, one of the most authentic and charming in the city of Luxembourg . Located in the lower fortified part of town it follows the Pétrusse river, which joins the Alzette (Uelzecht).

Schiessentümpel Cascade

When we talk about Schiessentümpel, we also refer to the bridge and the waterfall on the Black Ernz. The famous bridge, which today is the symbol of the region, was built in just four months, in 1879. To discover the waterfall, it is possible to walk from the parking lot next to the campsite.

Kallektuffquell

At the Travertine source situated in the valley of the Ernz Noire crystal-clear calcareous water flows over a rock formation into a basin. Vianden Castle

Vianden Castle is a real magnet for visitors, being one of the biggest and most beautiful feudal residences from the Romanesque and Gothic periods. The castle was built between the 11th and 14th century on the foundations of a Roman castle and a Carolingian refuge.
