Then we walk through its alleys that lead us to some monuments of interest.

Chaves - Walking Tour

The city of Chaves woke up shrouded in fog, which made the beginning of the tour even more spectacular in view of the mystical atmosphere that it transmitted to the city. We visited the main points to visit: Ponte de Trajano, KM0 of Nacional 2, Poldras, Igreja Matriz de Santa Maria Maior, Castle, gardens... (because it was a Monday, other places were closed).

The Pedras Salgadas Thermal Park is one of the most beautiful parks in the interior of Portugal, with a characteristic fauna and flora, over 20 hectares, a large lake, swimming pools and marked pedestrian paths, inviting you to take a walk. Vila Pouca de Aguiar - Highlights

At Km 35 of Estrada Nacional 2 we arrive at Vila Pouca de Aguiar. Without leaving the EN2, you will find an Urban Art Mural at the entrance and further ahead in a roundabout a megalithic Tapir. We made two small detours, first to the Miradouro de Nossa Senhora da Conceição, which gives us a view over the whole city and then we went to Lagoa do Alvão, also known as the Falperra Dam, where the landscape is superb.

Alijó - Pinhão

When we visited the village of Pinhão, tranquility prevailed and conveyed a true sense of relaxation. The view over the Douro and its vineyards complete the scene.

Peso da Régua - Estrada Nacional

We took the route along Estrada Nacional 222 to Pinhão, with stunning views over the Douro and its vineyards. Stop at the Adorigo Viewpoint. Unfortunately the rainy weather and fog did not allow for a better use of the day.

Lamego - Vila Galé Collection Douro

The Hotel Vila Galé Collection Douro, carved into the hillside, right in front of Régua, captivates you from the start with its stunning views of the river and vineyards. Comfortable rooms with a panoramic balcony, from where we can observe several species of birds. Restaurant serves a good breakfast and dinner with dishes of rich and traditional flavors.
